About this campground

A 'swing station' along the Overland Stage Trail, the Almond Stage Station near Point of Rocks includes this cemetery where the remains of seven unlucky passengers; victims of the infamous Jack Slade, were laid to rest. The smaller grave to the north is from the 1950s, and it is unknown who rests there. This is a fee-free site. The site is ADA accessible.

Getting there

TAke Interstate 80 to the Point of Rocks exit. Go South on County Road 4-84 one quarter mile to the Point of Rocks Stage Station (Almond Stage Station) and then West one tenth mile to the site.
