What we do
- Full keyboard navigation with a visible focus indicator on every interactive element.
- Color contrast meeting WCAG 2.1 AA on text and controls, in both light hero and dark sections.
- Reduced motion:all animations respect your system's “prefers reduced motion” setting and effectively turn off.
- Semantic landmarks, one H1 per page, labeled forms, and alt text on meaningful images.
- The interactive map has a fully equivalent list alternative — every park on the map is also on the parks directory, which works with screen readers and keyboards.
Known limitations
- The map itself (third-party Leaflet/OpenStreetMap) has limited screen-reader support — use the directory for a complete non-visual experience.
