1. The service
GetParkAlerts, operated by Ketchup Consulting (“we,” “us”), monitors publicly available campsite availability on ReserveCalifornia for California State Park units and notifies subscribers when availability we're watching changes. GetParkAlerts is an independent service, not affiliated with California State Parks or ReserveCalifornia. All reservations are made by you, directly on ReserveCalifornia.
2. Subscription, billing & automatic renewal
- GetParkAlerts Pro costs $9.99 per month (USD), charged through Square.
- Your subscription renews automatically each month at $9.99 until you cancel. By subscribing, you authorize recurring monthly charges to your payment method until cancellation.
- Cancel anytime: use the subscription-management link in any Square receipt email, or email hello@getparkalerts.com from your account email with the word “cancel.” Cancellation stops all future billing immediately; your access continues through the end of the period you already paid for.
- Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy.
- We will give at least 30 days' email notice before any price change.
3. What we promise — and what we can't
- We work to detect openings quickly, checking ReserveCalifornia around the clock.
- We cannot and do not guarantee you will get a campsite. Availability changes in seconds, popular sites are rebooked fast, and ReserveCalifornia — not us — controls all reservations. An alert is information, not a reservation, a hold, or a promise of availability by the time you book.
- The service depends on ReserveCalifornia's public systems; outages, blocks, or data changes on their side can delay or interrupt alerts.
4. Acceptable use
- One account per person; keep your sign-in credentials to yourself.
- No scraping, reselling, or redistributing alert data as a service.
- No use of the service to violate ReserveCalifornia's own terms.
5. Disclaimers & limitation of liability
The service is provided “as is.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, and our total liability for any claim arising out of the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months before the claim arose. We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages — including a trip that didn't happen because a site was rebooked before you could reserve it.
6. Termination
You can close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms; if we terminate without cause, we'll refund the unused portion of your current month.
7. Governing law & disputes
These terms are governed by California law. Before filing any claim, you agree to contact us at hello@getparkalerts.com and give us 30 days to resolve the issue informally. Small-claims court in California is always available to you.
8. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms; material changes will be emailed to subscribers at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date is acceptance.
