About this campground

Simpson's Hollow is Identified as a significant location during conflict called "The Utah War". U.S. soldiers with supply wagons were travelling to Utah to enforce federal laws when they were intercepted by members of the Navoo Legion. It was reported that the supply wagons were burned and the Navoo Legion returned to Utah. This is a fee-free site. This site is ADA accessible.

Getting there

Take State Highway 28 west of Farson 11 miles. The site is a pullout along the National Historic Trails Auto Tour Route.
