About this campground
Originally built as a fort to protect New York harbor, the building has changed to fit the needs of a growing city. The building has operated as an opera house, immigration depot and the New York Aquarium.
Getting there
Castle Clinton is located in Battery Park. It is not accessible by car. Parking is provided at private park garages along the street. Public transportation also stops near the fort. Subway #1 south ferry stop, Subway N or R White Hall, Subway #4 Bowling Green
