About this campground

The Ant Hill Trail is a scenic ridgetop trail in the Slate Lick area.  This is the northern most established trail on the North River Ranger District. Trail Open To:

Getting there

From Harrisonburg, VA:  Travel west on SR 33 for approximately 10.0 miles.  Turn right on SR 612 for 4.5 miles.  Turn left onto FR 72 at Gospel Hill Church.  Follow FR 72 for approximately 6.0 miles.  You will come to the intersection of Long Run and Gauley Ridge/VEPCO Roads.  Turn right onto Gauley Ridge/VEPCO Road and travel for approximately 1.0 mile.  The trail is on the right.
