Bear Lake Scenic Byway

Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest · Wyoming — managed by USDA Forest Service

About this campground

The Bear Lake Scenic Byway takes visitors along the south-western shore of Bear Lake. The turqoise color of the lake is a wonder to behold and is a result of light reflecting off limestone particles suspended in the water. The Bear Lake Overlook and Rest Area is located 5 miles west of Garden City.  It serves as the east portal to the Logan Canyon National Scenic Byway.  A small information booth is located inside the building and staffed by the Bear Lake Convention & Visitors Bureau.  For additional information, check out their web site.
