About this campground
The Eastern Front Visitor Center is the park's main visitor center, including museum, gift shop, and 18 minute video. The Visitor Center is open every day. Hours: 9:00 am - 5:00 pm. Visitor Center is closed Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years Day.
Getting there
From I-95 & I-85: Exit Wythe Street/Rt. 36 East. Park entrance is 2.5 miles on right. From 295: Exit 9B to Rt. 36 West - park entrance on right just past Fort Gregg-Adams. From Norfolk area: Take 460 West to Petersburg – Exit Crater Road/Rt. 301 North. From Crater Road turn right on Wythe Street. Park entrance is 2.5 miles on right.
