About this campground
Moonshine Arch spans a length of 85 feet and a height of 40 feet. It is tucked among the Weber sandstone formation at the base of Red Mountain. The parking area for hikers is surrounded by private land and is adjacent to a fence and gate. Please respect the rights of the private land owner. High clearance vehicles and hikers may continue on the road to the arch. All visitors should stay on the road and follow the metal directional signs.
Getting there
From Vernal, UT drive 3.5 miles north. Turn left onto the well-defined dirt road and travel for approximately 0.8 miles. Turn left and travel for an additional 0.8 miles to a fence and gate. This is the undeveloped parking area for hikers.
