About this campground

Southern Crossing  05050 can be easily accessed from the Mars Court Trailhead. Please refer to the Manzanita Mountains Trail System map to plan your course. Cell phone coverage is not guaranteed. It is the recreationist’s responsibility to use a map. It is a multi-user area. Trail(s) open for the following uses: Hiking, Mountain Biking, 2 Wheel Motorized Vehicles and Horseback Riding. Be courteous to other users – motorized vehicles and bicycles yield to hikers and horses. Travel only on established trails.

Getting there

Mars Court Trailhead: From the west (Albuquerque) drive East on I-40 and exit at Exit 175. At the bottom of the ramp there is a traffic light. Continue straight through the light on NM 337 (south) for about 8.3 miles. Turn right (west) onto Raven Road. Continue for approximately 1.7 miles until you come to Mars Road. Turn right onto Mars Rd.  Mars Court Trailhead vehicle parking is located to the right as you enter the area, for trailers, continue around the loop and park along the fence.
