About this campground

The mission of the York County Cultural and Heritage Commission is to create an enlightened and engaged citizenry by keeping and communicating the cultural, historical and natural heritage of the Carolina Piedmont. The Commission is the umbrella for several sites and facilities. Historic Brattonsville ® is a living history site composed of 29 historic structures on 775 acres. The McCelvey Center hosts performing arts presentations and arts programming and houses the Historical Center of York County, a repository for county records and historical documents and photographs. The Museum of York County features interdisciplinary programs and exhibitions based on art, anthropology, history, and natural history collections. The Settlemyre Planetarium provides an out of this world educational experience for adults and children alike.
