About this campground

Allegheny National Fish Hatchery raises lake trout to help restore the Great Lakes recreational lake trout fishery. Come see us spawn fish in the fall, or watch us feeding and raising fish in spring and summer. You can even visit us in the winter, when we are incubating eggs and raising small fish. We offer tours if you call ahead. Otherwise you are welcome to visit us and enjoy the hatchery grounds in June and July, Monday-Friday, 9 am to 3 p.m., and in winter (December through March) Monday- through Friday, 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. In the spring and fall, please call ahead to find out when we are open. A visit to a National Fish Hatchery and provided activities are free to visitors unless noted otherwise.
