About this campground
Located along the Illinois River Road (Forest Road 4103). The road bed cinches down into a single lane, advancing along the steep cliffs, then slopes to a level river terrace. There are two log cabin style picnicking pavilions on site. The pavilions and the more traditional day use area are linked by way of a small arched metal foot bridge spanning over Six Mile Creek. This site supports more passive recreation, with less beach access. Facilities No fire pit No picnic table No drinking water No toilet No garbage disposal - Please pack it out
