Overview Moneka South Campground is located south of the Waurika Lake Dam, directly off HWY 5 in Waurika, OK. It is about six miles northwest of the city of Waurika and is located within Jefferson County.This area is nestled within the Great Plains Region of southern Oklahoma. Beaver Creek Trailhead is located on the north end of the day use area. Waurika Lake offers many recreation activities, including fishing, boating and hunting. It encompasses 10,100 acres of water and about 12,000 acres of land, which provide ample space for visitors to enjoy the outdoors.
