About this campground

The Wild River and Basin Trails can be used to access the vast and scenic Wild River Wilderness and surrounding mountain ranges. There is a vault toilet at the trailhead. Both the Wild River Road and Route 113 are gated closed in the winter.

Getting there

This large trailhead is located at the end of the Wild River Road, just before the Wild River Campground. The Wild River Road leaves Route 113 about 3 miles South of its junction with Route 2 in Gilead, Maine.
