About this campground
The Old Capitol Museum of Mississippi History is housed in one of America's finest examples of Greek Revival public architecture. As the state historical museum, maintained by the Museum Division of the Mississippi Department of Archives and History, it offers exhibits on Mississippi from prehistory and the colonial and Territorial periods through the Civil War, Reconstruction, the cotton culture, and the Civil Rights movement.
