About this campground

The Lake Of The Woods Trail begins at Forest Road 205 and ends at the lake covering .4 of a mile. After crossing the White River, the trail enters the Flat Tops Wilderness through a stand of trees burned in the 2002 Big Fish Fire. Please watch for falling trees.

Getting there

The Lake of the Woods Trail is located 45 miles east of Meeker, CO. From Meeker, take Colorado Highway 13 east for 1 mile, then turn right on Rio Blanco County Road 8 and follow this for 39 miles to Trappers Lake Road #205. Turn south on Trappers Lake Road #205, and continue for 5 miles. The trailhead is on the south side of the road.
