About this campground
The Lake Evelyn Trailhead provides access to several trails in the Byers Peak Wilderness. There are no facilities. Note: The access road to this trailhead is closed to motor vehicles between Nov. 15 and June 15. A 4-wheel drive, high clearance vehicle is recommend to reach this trailhead. Getting there
From Parshall, CO take County Road 3 to Horseshoe Campground and turn left on the Keyser Road (Forest Road 139). Take a right on Forest Road 136 to the trailhead. This last four miles is a rough road. High clearance recommended.
