About this campground
The Eider Trail #417 begins on Forest Service Road #637, Mill Creek Road, and ends at an intersection with the Deep Creek Trail #418. It is a short connection route between Mill Creek Rd. and the Deep Creek Trail. The trail ascends a closed mining road for about 0.3 miles before leaving the road and continuing as a single track trail. It continues to climb through aspen stands and open meadows, ascending steeply before intersecting with the Deep Creek Trail.
Getting there
From Telluride: Travel west on State Hwy 145 for approximately 1.3 miles. Turn right (north) onto Forest Road #637, Mill Creek Road. Continue for approximately 0.9 miles to the first hairpin turn. The trail access is on the left. High clearance, 4-wheel drive vehicles recommended.
