About this campground

The Crystal Lake Trail #235 begins at the Crystal Larson Trailhead and continues until its intersection with the Ridge Stock Driveway Trail #233.  The first 3.5 miles are quite steep until you reach Crystal Lake.  At the lake is an old cabin which can be used to shelter.  Crystal Lake is at an elevation of 11,760 feet and the fishing is usually fair.  Just before entering the Uncompahgre Wilderness, the trail intersects the Larson Lake Trail #236 at an elevation of about 12,000 feet.  These two trails make an enjoyable loop hike.  After entering the Wilderness, where Wilderness Regulations apply, the trail continues until it intersects the Ridge Stock Driveway Trail #233 where it ends.  Trail Map
