The Bucktail Creek Spur Trail #659.1A begins at Forest Service Road #503 and ends at an intersection with the Bucktail Creek Trail #659. Getting there
From Montrose: Travel west on Highway 90 for approximately 23 miles to the intersection with Forest Service Road #402, Divide Road. Follow FSR #402 for approximately 16.5 miles to FSR #503. Turn south onto FSR #503, Delta-Nucla Road, and continue for approximately 13 miles to the trail access on the southeast side of the road.
