About this campground

Primitive boat ramp to launch small motorized craft. There is a no wake restriction near shore. The area provides picnic tables, fishing access and general recreation opportunities in this beautiful lakeside setting near portal to the Mount Zirkel Wilderness Area.  This area is managed by the Parks Ranger District.

Getting there

Directions from Walden: Head north on Highway 125 for 9 miles to Cowdrey. Turn left at Cowdrey onto County Road 6W for 18 miles to Pearl. Take Forest Road 600 for 6 miles to the Big Creek Lakes Recreation Area. Primitive boat ramps are located in the east shore day use area (turn left at "T") or in the north shore day use area (turn right at "T", but then bear left at first fork).
