Modoc National Forest · California — managed by USDA Forest Service

Open recreation area — no reservation needed

About this campground

This trailhead and Emerson Campground are located at the end of Forest Road 40, off Co. Rd. 1 just south of Eagleville. Both South and North Emerson Trailheads start from here.  These trails form a loop as well as give access to the eastern slopes of the South Warner Wilderness and Owl Creek Trail.  A suggestion would be to take the South Emerson Trail going up and return via the North Emerson Trail. Bear Camp Flat Trail connects with the South Emerson Trail.

Activities

  • HORSEBACK RIDING
