About this campground

Located at the end of Forest Road 40, just off Co. Rd. 1 south of Eagleville, this trailhead, along with the South Emerson Trailhead connects to Owl Creek Trail for access to the eastern slopes of the South Warner Wilderness. North and South Emerson trails form a loop, making a short day hike quite enjoyable.  There is a large elevation change along the nearly 3 mile loop and it is suggested to take the South Emerson Trail going up and return via the North Emerson Trail.
