About this campground

The Yampa Ranger District is the southern-most district of the Medicine Bow-Routt National Forests & Thunder Basin National Grassland administrative unit. The District manages Routt National Forest lands, which consist of nearly 400,000 acres of varied terrain, ranging from sagebrush flats to forested mountains to alpine tundra. A variety of year-round recreation opportunities are available to visitors. The Ranger District office is in Yampa, Colorado and hosts 9 campgrounds, several fishing reservoirs, and popular hikes. OTHER INFORMATION: FIRE RESTRICTIONS: Before your arrival, please check with the Yampa Ranger Station to find out if there are fire restrictions 970-638-4516 BOAT REGULATIONS: Electric trolling motors are allowed.
