About this campground

The Senator Wash South Shore recreational area is approximately 50 acres in size, flat, open with large gravel beaches providing access to the reservoir.  Two restrooms with flush toilets, outdoor showers and drinking water are available for use. Boat ramp available nearby. Small watercraft can be launched from shore. There are opportunities for off-highway vehicle (OHV) riding, fishing, camping, watchable wildlife, watercraft recreation, swimming, hiking opportunities, solitude and sightseeing.

Getting there

Use Interstate 8 to Yuma, Arizona. Take the 4th Avenue to Imperial County Road S24. Go north approximately 22 miles to Senator Wash Road. Turn left onto Senator Wash Road and follow it for approximately 3 miles to the South Mesa campground. Turn left then proceed approximately 200 yards and enter the access road on the right which leads to the reservoir.
